To see another example of Ash’s work, view this highlight reel from the production of River Warrior—an enduring tale of a farmer tracing the water’s journey from her mountaintop watershed in North Carolina, following its winding course through the Mississippi and onward to the Gulf.

During production, Ash and his crew navigated the busy channels of the Mississippi River, coordinating radio contact with massive cargo ships while securing permits, waivers, and a comprehensive insurance policy to ensure safety along one of the nation’s most active waterways. As if the challenges of the river weren’t enough, the team raced against an approaching Category 5 hurricane to capture the final shots before landfall.

The results of this meticulous planning and daring execution can be seen in the footage below—a testament to the crew’s precision, resilience, and respect for nature’s unpredictable power.
